Consumer Directed Personal Assistant Program (CDPAP) is a self-directed home care program that is available through NY Medicaid insurance.
This program pays trusted family and friends to care for you the way you want it and when you want it. CDPAP offers patients the freedom to hire and train their personal assistants.

CDPAP requires no prior training or certification to provide home care services, which could be great options for stay-at-home parents, college students, retirees, and more.

BNV HomeCare Agency will make sure that all personal assistants have completed any necessary paperwork, such as W-2, I-9 and reference forms. We act as the liaison between the insurance company, caretaker, and patient, taking care of all necessary paperwork and payroll.
In addition, our staff is available to help navigate the CDPAP program, from initial program orientation to training materials to addressing questions and concerns.
CDPAP is available throughout all 5 boroughs within New York City, including Suffolk, Nassau, Kings, Richmond, Queens and Westchester Counties.
